Meet The Shepherdess !
On Sunday 18th of March, Lifelong Yarns will be vending at the Edinburgh Yarn Festival for the very first time - at the new event on the final Sunday of EYF, Meet The Shepherdess. We are so excited , particularly since this part of the Festival focusses on what we love so much - yarn with provenance and low yarn miles, often lovingly created by the very folk who raise the sheep. We will have the opportunity to share with yarn lovers from all over the world, wool which has been farmed on the Pentland hills, the range visible from behind the Corn Exchange itself . It doesn't come much more local than that ! We can't wait to tell visitors the story of our yarns and give them the opportunity to squish it , smell it and ask us questions. Most will never before have seen yarn from the fleece of the Scottish Blackface sheep.
For more regular customers we will have some new delights - new colours in some of our favourite blends, more sample garments on display and our 'First Flurries Mittens' kits. Do come and say hello if you can make it there on the day, we would love to meet you !
